Let's Move Into the 21st Century

Over the summer it was suggested to me by some Board members that I get in the habit of communicating with the singers in the Chorale about the contents of the next rehearsal.  The idea was that people might be motivated to do some rehearsal on their own if they knew which part of a given program would be rehearsed on the Monday coming up.

In a place like Claremont, we can safely assume that most people are familiar with the Internet.  So... this seems like an easy way to share with you my plans for the next rehearsal.

I also hope to share some of my thoughts on the repertoire from time to time.  The great thing about the blog format is: you can "take away" as much or as little as you want or have time for.  If you really get into a posting you find here, you can comment on it for all the world to see.

See you Monday night!

  1. I have uploaded the pictures our President and photographer Janet Grausam took at practice last night. You can see them in a set on Flickr called Claremont Chorale practice 9-15-08. I've added them to a Claremont Chorale Collection, which also has pictures from our trip to Puebla.
I took a bunch of chorale pictures about 8 years ago back in Presbyterian Church, which I will upload today as well.

  2. Greg, I finally found this blog (a first for me!) Bob is looking for it, too.

I have contacted the person who assigns someone to open Decker on Monday nights. She did not know (sic) that the request was for more than one night!! She assured me that from now on one of the cleaners will open it at 6 p.m every Monday! Let's keep our fingers crossed. Konrad
