Rehearsal on 9/29

Good rehearsal this week, everybody!  We were able to do lots of repetition - even as we read some pieces for the first time.  Thanks for keeping discussion to a minimum so we can spend more time singing!

Here's what to look at before next Monday:

~Since we didn't get to DECK THE HALL and WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS last week, we'll start there next time.
~In WHEN ICICLES HANG we'll spend time with #2: Winter Nights.  I hope to go back and review #1 briefly... those chords on the refrain are still shaky.
~TOMORROW SHALL BE - we'll keep drilling words, working for speed.  This is definitely an example of a piece in which ANYONE could simply spend a few minutes on their own reading over the words and improve their singing at rehearsal... they go so fast!
~WASSAIL SONG: We need to get the opening and closing sections secured.  Also we need to work for lightness - it's getting too bombastic in some places!
~As time permits: WHAT CHEER; A BOY WAS BORN and MAKE WE JOY NOW IN THIS FEST.

See you Monday night!
